Dell Rapids Lions donate winter wear.

Warm hats, scarves, mittens and gloves were collected by Dell Rapids Lions Club members and distributed prior to Thanksgiving. Local elementary schools and The Storehouse were given their choice of over 70 items, with the remainder going to The Banquet in Sioux Falls.

"This project was encouraged by Lions Clubs International and enthusiastically adopted by our club members," said Lion Sue Hovey. "Sometimes kids just need an extra pair of dry mittens for recess, and there are those among us who lack the money for winter gear. Our members are glad to serve our community in this way."
